Your Mission
Can you spot a plane that has its propeller in the middle? What is it called?

This plane is called a Biplane because it has two wings — and Bi means two.
Look closely… can you see the machine gun on the front? The pilot could shoot at the enemy while flying the plane!
But wait — something looks a bit strange. Where’s the propeller?
It’s not at the front… it’s at the back! They put it there so the bullets from the machine gun wouldn’t hit the spinning blades or bounce back and hit the pilot. Clever, right?
This little fighter was easy to fly, and the pilot had a great view from his cockpit. One pilot even said it felt like flying on a witch’s broom!
