Look up! See that German aeroplane hanging from the ceiling? It’s called the Taube, which means Dove in English. It looks like a bird, but its wings are actually shaped like a tree seed pod — the kind that spins and flies a long way in the wind!

This plane was used to spot the enemy. The pilot would fly while the observer took photos to bring back to base. If another plane chased them, the crews would shoot at each other with pistols and rifles.
