Omaka is home to the internationally famous Classic Fighters airshow. This is a 3-day biennial event held every second year. The next airshow will be Easter 2023. The WW2 exhibition 'Dangerous Skies' will closed during this period as many of the exhibits will be flying in the show.

The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is located at 79 Aerodrome Road, Omaka, Blenheim, Marlborough, NZ, situated alongside Omaka Aerodrome on Aerodrome Road. It is a 5 minutes drive from Blenheim or Blenheim Airport. The route is well sign-posted off SH1, along SH6 to Aerodrome Road. (Map below)
