Knights of the Sky Meets Nuremberg
With the release of Nuremberg, many are revisiting one of the most significant chapters of 20th-century history. Here at Omaka, we hold several original artefacts connected to one of the central figures featured in the film: Hermann Goering.
As the third and final commander of JG 1 — the famed Richthofen Flying Circus — Goering played a notable role in World War I aviation. In our Knights of the Sky exhibition, visitors can view his handwritten WWI flight logbook, along with personal items spanning both world wars.

Among the most striking pieces is the officer’s cap Goering was wearing when he surrendered to US forces in 1945. These artefacts are presented not in celebration, but as powerful reminders of the real people, decisions, and consequences behind the history now brought to life on screen.
If Nuremberg has sparked your interest, we invite you to explore the authentic stories and objects that shaped this era.
