See the Spirit of Douglas DC-3 at Omaka on Sunday 9 August
The public is invited to Omaka on Sunday 9 August for a free opportunity to see the remarkable Spirit of Douglas DC-3 before she continues her journey.
Spirit of Douglas will be parked on the airfield alongside DC-3 Airscapade, creating a rare opportunity to see and photograph the two historic aircraft together, and chat with the crew! There will also be a selection of 1930's aircraft and classic cars.
Come along from 10am for a closer look, bring your camera and enjoy a sausage sizzle (11:30-1:30pm). Visitors can also make a day of it by exploring Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre or stopping for coffee at the cafe.
Entry to the airfield viewing is free. Please note that the public will not be able to go onboard Spirit of Douglas during Sunday's event.
The aircraft is expected to depart at 2pm, weather permitting.
